Reflection
This quote reminds us about the critical importance of really listening. If we wish to engage with anyone, from the very young to the very old, we simply have to be very very good listeners. We must try to avoid listening with a need to respond. It’s not about what we want to say. It’s about what they want to explain.
Really listening means listening to someone else the way you yourself would like to be listened to. It’s as simple as that.
It’s a lovely feeling, being listened to.
Really listened to.
